AA - Majors Registration closes 1/15/2026 _ Rookie - A Registration closes 1/28/2026

 Playing age is determined by the player’s age on April 30, 2026.  For example, if your player was born on May 8, 2014, they are a “baseball age 11” and would register for the Major Division.  Please note, when registering you will want to have a recent (within two [2] months) utility bill (Gas, Electric, EGUSD School Registration (within boundaries) and or a Rental Agreement, Mortgage Statement), handy showing your player’s proof of residency within Laguna Youth Boundaries in Elk Grove, as this will need to be uploaded when you register your player.  You will also need to have a copy of their birth certificate to upload for our records. 

COACHES FOR SINGLE A AND ROOKIE ARE NEEDED!! There will be a partial refund on your child's registration should you decide and be selected to coach your child's team at the Rookie and Single A level.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What will my child do at the assesment?: Each player will be assigned a window of time to report for their assessment where they will be thrown a few pitches for hitting, run the bases, field a few ground balls and fly balls.
  • When will I hear from my child's coach?: You should hear from your child's coach no later than 2/4/2026. Should you not hear by then, please send an email to playeragent@lagunayouthbaseball.org
  • Do Rookie or Single A do assessments?: No, Rookie and Single A players are assigned and do not need to tryout.
  • If I am coaching does my child tryout?: No, if you are coaching, your child is not allowed to tryout. They are already on your team's roster as a frozen player.
  • What does my registration include?: Each player will be provided a league jersey, hat, socks, belt and team photo. Each player will be responsible for their baseball pants.
  • What can I expect the schedule to be?: Once the season begins, you should expect for your child to have two practices a week until games begin. Once games begin, there will be two games per week and one practice.
  • Does the league provide equipment?: Your player will need to have baseball cleats and a glove. Each coach will have helmets, bats and 1 set of catcher's gear.
  • When and where are assesments?: January 17th, 2026 - Morse Park Time of assessments will be released closer to date. Please leave the day open as your assesment time could be early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
  • Should I coach?: Rookie and Single A div are always in need of coaches. You do not need to have baseball exp. just the ability to work with the kids and teach them the basics. Player/Coach Req. ok in Rookie/Single A
  • What is included in my registration fee?: Your registration fee pays for your childs uniform, which includes a hat, jersey, and belt. It also includes the cost of (1) team memorabilia picture.
  • Can I pick my childs coach and/or team?: Coach and Player requests are only available for the Single A and Rookie divisions. In order to keep the league competitive and equitable all upper division teams are drafted.
